Meet Our Team

Sow the seeds of hope.
BE A VOLUNTEER!

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER AT THE HOPE CENTER:

1. Presence & Companionship

Sometimes the most powerful service is simply showing up.

  • Be a listening presence during community time

  • Accompany residents in daily routines (walks, chores, reflection time)

  • Offer encouragement through respectful conversation and witness

Healing often begins when someone feels seen and not judged.

2. Skills-Based Volunteering

Share what you know to help residents rebuild life skills.

  • Teach basic literacy, numeracy, or life skills

  • Offer workshops in communication, anger management, budgeting

  • Share professional skills (IT, carpentry, cooking, farming, crafts)

3. Livelihood & Work Formation Support

Help residents prepare for productive reintegration.

  • Assist in livelihood training and supervised work

  • Mentor residents in work discipline and responsibility

  • Support job readiness, resume writing, or basic entrepreneurship

4. Spiritual & Pastoral Support

For those called to serve spiritually:

  • Join prayer services or recollections (as appropriate)

  • Assist in liturgical preparations or catechesis

  • Offer faith-sharing grounded in humility and respect

At HOPE, faith is offered—not imposed.

5. Counseling & Mental Health Support (Professional)

Licensed or trained professionals may volunteer as:

  • Counselors or facilitators (individual or group)

8. Donation-in-Kind & Resource Support

Not everyone can give time—but everyone can give something.

  • Food, hygiene kits, bedding, books

  • Livelihood tools and materials

  • Educational, recreational, or spiritual resources

9. Advocacy & Awareness

Be a voice for hope.

  • Help reduce stigma by sharing accurate information about addiction

  • Encourage compassionate, informed responses to addiction

10. Long-Term Volunteer Commitment

For those discerning deeper involvement:

  • Serve as a regular volunteer or companion

  • Become a committed partner in the mission of the HOPE Foundation

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

  • Students and young professionals

  • Retirees and senior citizens

  • Church and parish groups

  • Mental health and helping professionals

  • Individuals in recovery (with proper discernment)

A Gentle Reminder

You don’t need to be perfect to help.
You only need to be willing, respectful, and compassionate.

When you give your time, you give someone a reason to hope.
